For more than twenty years, the parish has provided and served a luncheon for the family and friends of a deceased parishioner on the day of the funeral.
This is an act of loving kindness and a tangible expression of our sympathy for the family.
The tables are set-up by the Knights of Columbus. Women who volunteer to provide a dish are called when the need arises. The dishes are prepared in their homes and delivered to the church kitchen at a designated time. Arrangements are made to accommodate schedules.
A dedicated group of women work in the kitchen keeping food warm, preparing trays, making coffee and setting out the buffet. Afterwards, everything is cleaned-up before the group leaves.
This is a beautiful example of service to one another. Wouldn’t you like to be a part of it? Come join us!
